Has america lived up to the ideals in the Declaration of independence ?

this is a question in history that i need to answer but im stuck , so if you can give me some hints that would be great please and thank you =)

No, If all men are created equally, then owning a slave, racial and religious discrimination would have been barred and the guilty punished.

Look at the KKK and the civil right movement of the 1960s. Countless blacks were murdered, beaten, and threatened. These KKK members would tried, and set free by white men juries. The X-Men movies, TV series, etc. is based on the civil rights.

Look at the Battles with native Americans. Treaties made and broken at will.

Look at antisemitism and what the Jew had to endure here.

Slavery is morally and ethically wrong. Haven't the Bbile totting Southern men in the 18th and 19th century learned the true Christians cannot own slaves or be antisemitic (Jesus was born a Jew and was bar mitzvahed)
